Monroe Big Band Holiday Concert

From “‘Zat you, Santa Claus?” to jazzy “Silent Night”, and everything Christmasy in-between. That’s what is coming to the RRCA on Saturday, December 17th, when the Monroe Big Band (MBB) presents their Holiday Show. Over 30 years ago, big band lovers—a mix of high schoolers and adults—got together to play the music they loved. Personnel changed throughout the years, but a core of four still remain. Wedding receptions, anniversaries, reunions, dance clubs, jazz festivals, restaurant events…..MBB has done them all. Today’s group is comprised of 18 instrumentalists and two vocalists (including 8 band directors and 4 engineers}, and you can expect the full big band sound. If the spirit moves you, there is even room in front of the stage for dancing!
