Pointe Mouillee Walking Field Trip

Join us for one of our most popular field trips of the year–winter birding at Pointe Mouillee! While it can be chilly, the birding couldn’t be better. We may spot Snowy Owls, Northern Harriers, Canvasback Ducks, Short-eared Owls, and more.

Join us for 5-6 miles of exploring the trails and dikes.

Meeting Location: We will meet in the Sigler Road parking lot for Pointe Mouillee State Game Area. For navigational purposes, use 8456 Sigler Road, South Rockwood, MI 48179. The Sigler Road Parking Lot is on Sigler Road, just east of the intersection at US Turnpike Road (also called West Jefferson). The Sigler Road parking lot is the farthest north access point for Pointe Mouillee. There are parking lots farther south–do not go to them, as we will not be there!
